Over the years a number of people have asked me if there any other recordings that feature the original Hoovers and the answer has been yes and no. When the record company went belly up we were in the studio recording what would have been the Hoovers 2nd full album, we completed 5 songs. These songs have been lost until now.
My (very lovely) ex wife recently found a crate of reel to reel tapes in her garage and returned them to me. Amongst these items were the quintessential lost tapes. So I dug out the old Otari 50/50 and voila we have 5 pretty great tracks.
Three excellent songs from Bill and two from me.
Norman Baja on drums and Michael Helmer on bass, some excellent guitar from Bill and keys from me.
David Hipchman, sometimes called the fifth Hoover, plays some mind blowing sax on a couple of tracks and with the legendary Stephen Hart at the controls it is all quite special; rough of course but that is The Hoover's trade mark
